Pug Xmas Party

I went to a Pug Xmas Party on the weekend. I haven't seen so many puggies in one place in a long time. I was a bit frightened for awhile, and I was trying to bite them when they would come over to say 'hi'. Dad kept me safe, and once I'd settled down I had a good time. I wore my Santa suit costume, and some of the other Puggies had suits on, or flash harnesses. I especially enjoyed playing with Brian - he was a handsome little puggy, and about my size, although I'm over a year old now, and he was only 4 months. I think he's going to grow up to be a big boy, if his Dad Jackson was anything to go by. I was given a little present from Heather, but the naughty cat's had a nibble on it that night. Dad's put it in the fridge now. I was very tired when I got home, and slept quietly all night. I didn't even feel like barking anymore. I'm hoping to go to the next party in January.

Growing Up

Here I am outside for play time. Dad lets me go out in the yard a couple of times a day. I like to run around, and chew on bits of bark. Sometimes I roll about in the long grass, or take a little siesta next to the pool pump. Mum and Dad think I'm growing. What do you think?

Olive vs The Hulk

Dad took me to the Supanova Pop Culture Expo this weekend. I helped Mum and Dad run their booth at the con. I dressed in a pig costume, and lots of people came to see me and have photos with me. I liked the attention, but I was really tired at the end of the day and needed a big sleep. At the end of the day, we were going around the con looking at all the things, when we were waved over big a large muscular man. Dad said he was the Hulk - Lou Ferrigno. He was a very nice man, and he told us about his pugs. He has a boy and a girl at home. We saw some pictures and they looked very nice. I had a cuddle with Lou, and licked him a lot. Dad took my picture, although its a little blurry because I was very animated. I also met Teryl Rothery (Stargate), Jewel Staite (Firefly/Serenity), and Michael Winslow (Police Academy/Spaceballs). I had a great time.

Cold

It's turned nasty and cold the last few days. Dad says I've been hogging all the duvet at night, so he's been hanging out of the bed cold too. I like to slide under the sheets and lay my head on the pillow next to Dad. I've been getting up in the morning and shivering, so Mum and Dad got me a jacket and jumper to wear. I'm nice and cozy snug in my jacket now, and I look adorable.

Sick

I'm not very well at the moment. I've got an infection from my operation in my leg. I've been having some medicine, but now they've fitted me with this lamp shade because I've been licking it, and irritated it more. It also stops me from licking the soothing creme that Dad puts on my sore spot. We've stayed home today so I can have some rest. I just want to go out and play, but Mum and Dad are taking good care of me. I should be all better soon.

Cruisin in my ride

Here I am out for a drive with Dad. I'm taking it easy at the moment because I had my operation last week. Mum says we can go get the stitches out on Sunday. They haven't bothered me too much, and Dad gets worried when I'm jumping about because I'm supposed to be resting. He says he doesn't want my insides to fall out. I don't think I'd like that either.

I like wearing my Doggles outside now. They keep the sun out of my eyes, and they make me look cool.

I gotta wear shades

My new Doggles arrived the other day. Dad got them for me, because he was worried about my buggy eyes outside in the bright sun, and also because I have to be careful not to scratch my eyes when I'm running through the bushes. They're a bit strange to wear, but they fit comfortably on my little face, and I only have to wear them a little until I get used to them. Dad says I'm getting better at wearing them. And of course, everybody thinks I look cute. I got them from Pet Super Savers.

Chilling in my igloo

Here I am just chilling out from the hot sun inside in my igloo. It's nice and comfy and at night Mum puts my blanket in, and I snuggle down for sleep (although usually I'm allowed on the bed). Sometimes I have to fight the cat for it - Salem likes to sneak in when I'm not around. I can smell when he's been sleeping in there, and then I have to lick all over my bed to clean it. I'm quite partial to the taste of his fur, but don't tell him.

Oi you, hop it!

Some other dogs came to Dad's work today. I made sure I put them in their place right away. I stood up, growled and barked at them. They were much bigger than me, but I scared them away. The dropped their tails, and put their ears back and went away. Dad says I'm a giant dog in a little body. I had a big sleep after that. It's hard work being the top dog.

Shock

My Daddy's boss called him outside because there was a man on the doorstep. Dad got a fright because he thought that I had escaped again and the man had bought me back. Dad looked worried, but was surprised to find me still lying on his desk. He took me to meet the new pug who was called Archie, who was 4 months old and fawn like me. He was very chubby and cuddly. I liked him a lot, but when I tried to talk to him he didn't answer me. Archie's Dad said that he hadn't learned to bark yet. There's a car on the street with a Pug sign in the window, but we haven't seen the pug it belongs too yet. There seems to be lots of pugs about.

Spoilt

Mum bought me home a lovely big juicy bone, and a box of tasty treats that the nice lady at her work sent for me. Dad gave me one of the biscuits, and it was so nice, it kept me quiet while Dad was outside working. Later, Mum let me have the bone. I spent ages licking and chewing the meaty goodness. Mum puts it away in the fridge when I'm not using it, and brings it out at different times. It's lovely and cold, and I quite like to lick it when its been hot outside.

Graduation

I graduated from Puppy School last night. Mum and Dad were very pleased with me, because i did all my tricks properly. I was a little naughty last week, and wouldn't do 'drop', but this week I did 'sit', 'drop', 'stay and come', and for my special trick 'fetch'. I won the "Best Trick" prize, and got some nice goodies for my pen.

Here is a picture of me with my cap on after graduation. I'm a pug of knowledge now. We had a little party with balloons and treats afterwards. I had a good time playing with my friend's, Bo and Amber the Boxers, and Max the Dachshund.

Playtime

Here I'm having a play date with my friend Lou. She's a lot older than me, and I think she's neat. We like to run and jump together. Sometimes we like to explore outside. I think I tire her out - sometimes she doesn't want to play and looks a bit frustrated with me. But that's okay, she's always pleased to see me when I come to visit. She came to stay at my house one night. We played for a while, but then I couldn't find her anymore. I searched high and low, and Mum showed me she was hiding under the blanket on the bed. I tried to get her to come out and play some more, but she was sleeping. She's good at hiding.

Mobile Pug

I love to go out in the car with Mum and Dad. Dad takes me to work every day, and I have a nice comfortable little bed in the car to sleep in while Dad drives. I get excited when it's time to go out, and rush up to the door, my tail shaking about. They got me a safety belt now, so I don't fall out of my bed anymore. Sometimes I don't like it because i can't jump over and sit in Dad's lap, but Dad says it's safer for me to stay in my bed. Sometimes if I stand up I can see out the window when we stop at the lights. I like to see all the different places we go, and smell all the new smells.
